John Shelby Spong, retired Episcopal bishop from Newark, N.J., talks about why Christianity must change its view of hell. Spong is one of the leading spokepersons for liberal Christianity.
I like Bishop Sprong. I think that he is the evolution of what the church should be: open to gays and lesbians, evolution, women as clergy and the best part, taking the supernatural out of religion. If more more clergy were like him then perhaps abortion, gay marriage and religious wars would be a thing of the past.
